Main Purpose of the Role
The overall supervision for the overall management of Automotive vertical as well as the Key Account Managers to whom automotive accounts are assigned.
This is essentially having a deep knowledge of the impact of every aspect of the Automotive business, which includes Operations, Human Resources, IT and Finance and Sales.
Completely focusing on growing revenue and retention within the Automotive Vertical for Road with the goal to expand the range to different DSV divisions in the future (Solutions as well as Air & Sea).
Strategically maintaining, expanding the existing customers and creating new logos that meet goals for Automotive vertical growth goals.
Effective General Managers achieve the most important business objectives by directing sales performance that is in keeping with the company’s goals.
Basic Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of five years from end-to-end Supply Chain experience. This includes at least three years of managing Account Managers that support the trusted Auto brand supply chain particularly in the outbound route distribution in South Africa.
- Responding to tenders, RFI’s or RFP’s, RFQ’s or RFQ’s and forming logistical solutions for automotive companies.
- National Diploma or equivalent.
Duties and Responsibilities
Make sure it is the DSV Auto Sales team aligns with the company’s and customer’s strategies to build long-term relationships and generate profit in your portfolio. Building as well as maintaining connections with the portfolio customers (C-level) as and internally working with Regional Management and all Directors.
Establishing a positive working atmosphere and implementing new ideas efficiently, directing Account Managers in accordance with the agreed Minimum acceptable standards (MAS).
