A person in the position of Advance Software Developer will be accountable for leading and managing the development, design, and execution of complicated projects and services of ICT solutions.

Key Responsibility Area
- Lead the development of functional requirements that are precise brief project outcomes that align with the expectations of users.
- Provide feasibility and cost-benefit analyses and analysis of the design architecture for the application to improve the development process of an application in general.
- Manage, and complete complicated customizing and software development projects across different environments to ensure it’s delivered successfully.
- Develop and lead the development of create complex solutions for services and applications through studying the needs of information by consulting with clients, researching flow of systems, data utilization and work processes; analyzing problem areas while following the development lifecycle with SITA’s software development stack/development framework.
- Oversee and manage Maintenance of the integral IT software components using SITA’s software development stack/development framework.
- Ensure that the program is executed and take part in extensive test tasks to verify the program’s functionality for both new and old applications to ensure compliance with SITA test procedures and testing techniques employing SITA approved testing equipment.
- Manage, lead and manage the packaging and release of integrated IT software components, in accordance to ICT guidelines and enterprise architectural of Government.
- Evaluate the existing applications that are responsible for, and learn how you can modernize them.
Qualifications and Experience
3 – 4 year National Higher Diploma / National Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or Information Technology or a comparable qualification in NQF level 6. A post-graduate qualification OR A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering, computer science or information technology or a comparable level of NQF 7 OR 8 will be an added benefit.
