Purpose of the Shoprite Vacancies

The objective of Debtors Recon Clerk serves to the debtor’s recon secretary is to effectively process and efficiently reconcile transactions of the debtors’. This role is part of the debtors’ account team, which provides administrative assistance to finance functions, including collections of outstanding debt and applying deep financial reconciliation expertiseto aid and coordinate with debtors for recovering and reducing outstanding debt.

Shoprite Vacancies Details

• Reconcile and monitor all debtor records and transactions during the period of payment.
• Make sure that all of the necessary transactions of the debtor (including the month-end journal) and are gathered in time and precisely entered into the ledger of the debtor and processed, while ensuring that the debtor is able to meet deadlines.
• Follow-up on payments that fall outside of normal payment terms.
• To assign and identify the members who are responsible (for clients) accounts.
• Review Month-Age Analysis and take the corrective steps necessary to minimize debts that are not in doubt.
• Verify that transactions are correctly recorded and ensure that transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system. I.e., SAP Finance.
• Maintain the accounting system on a computer as well as financial records and files.
• Keep track of the systems for accounts receivable to ensure complete and precise accounts of all money.
• Keep customers informed and assist them with proper customer behavior in any related to work-related issues.

Shoprite Vacancies Qualifications

• National Diploma in Financial Accounting or a similar field (essential)
• A total of +1 year’s experience as an Debtors’ Reconciliation Clerk or equivalent role that has in-depth experience in reconciling accounts, administration support and processing of intricate recon data (essential).
• Experience and deep understanding of Debtors Accounting principles, including general ledger and journals (essential)
• Experience in the field of SAP Finance – (desired).
• Does a good job of demonstrating understanding of high-level accounting and math (essential)
• Practical experience with O365 with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel – (essential).
