Key Responsibilities:

Demand Management

  • Give strategic direction and leadership in Demand management initiatives and create an overall Demand management strategy and operational plan for all procurement-related tasks to ensure best practice solutions for contract and procurement management.
  • By analyzing data and using forecasting techniques to accurately predict the future demand for products and services.
  • Monitoring trends in the market, consumer needs, as well as internal factors to ensure sufficient supply and minimize stocks or shortages.
  • Management of procurement budgets and expenditures to ensure control of costs and the adherence to financial limitations.
  • Engage the End User to comprehend the need for demand.
  • Review Organisational Demand Forecasts.
  • Control and monitor reporting for demand-management.
  • Monitor demand management implementation delivery.
  • Review budgets approved by the Board and make sure it aligns with the an annual demand plan.
  • Facilitate, consolidate and assure annual demand plan report to the relevant external stakeholders.
  • The demand plan should be consolidated throughout the Organisation.
  • Manage demand management records keeping.

  • Expert, reliable guidance to key stakeholders regarding all aspects of Annual Procurement Plan reporting and improve value by enhancing performance and results in procurement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Procurement, Logistics, Engineering Commerce Legal, Business (NQF level 7).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within the Supply Chain management Department of which at least 3 years of management experience.

Technical Competencies:

  • Understanding and knowledge of the regulatory framework and legislation regarding B-BBEE as well as its associated elements with a particular focus upon Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) that drive Transformation within the base of suppliers.
  • Understanding and an in-depth knowledge of understanding and knowledge of Standard for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management (SIPDM) and Framework for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management.
  • A thorough understanding and comprehension of the legislative requirements related to Supply chain management in the public sector, such as PPPFA and Treasury regulations.
  • Understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations in the construction and infrastructure industry and the ways to work across the construction companies, CIDB and other industry organizations.
  • The ability to design sub-sector transformation strategies and implementation plans that have realistic goals.
  • Planning, initiating the execution, monitoring, and concluding the activities of a team to accomplish specific goals and meet the specified performance criteria within the defined date.
