Job Purpose

The objective of this 12- months graduate program is to assist SABC’s Sales Division to ensure successful implementation of programs or business initiatives that are in line with SABC’s goals. National Diploma/ bachelor’s degree (NQF 6/7) Marketing/Advertising/Media or relevant qualification and looking to enhance their skills and experience in the work environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and lead the the strategic planning process for each brand/product particularly important is the responsibility for the creation of a new sales strategy that is in line with the allocated brand’s/product’s distinctive market positioning as well as the competitive environment and product offerings to consumers.
  • Conduct reviews of business operations to assess the traction and effectiveness of platforms or brands assigned for the product manager.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of your brand by incorporating into both programming and marketing strategies.
  • Always provide strategies for trade and sales marketing as well as assistance and brand education to help Account Executives to meet the goals of the platform.
  • Check that the solutions offered by the brand are specific, relevant and targeted to different sales segments.
  • Present to agents and clients to help promote the allocated brand solution.
  • Be sure to keep your costs contained always.
  • Make sure that you are consistently achieving goals for revenue and growth targets for market share.
  • Create sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Create a bespoke or unique feature for the platform:
  • Develop new or expired client applications.
  • Create short and long term sponsorship packages.
  • Protect and expand brand/business opportunities.
  • Find the best way to sell inventory in line with revenue targets.
  • Make sure that you collaborate to Other Departments to achieve sales goals.
  • Participate effectively in the pricing and marketing guideline strategy, in conjunction and revenue control.
  • Make sure that the Brand/s are effectively promoted to ensure credibility and the exposure of the assigned brand/s.
  • You must ensure that you make the most effective use of research findings to aid the decision-making process.
  • Review and report about the performance overall of the company/brand in accordance with goals and objectives.
  • Create a culture of high performance and be committed to high standards and performance every day.
  • Assist and manage commercial marketing initiatives which are in line with the station’s/platform’s general marketing and business strategy.
  • Monitoring, reporting on operational risks and the level of compliance.
  • Create a positive environment for governance and ensure conformity with SABC guidelines and policies.
  • Help in the control of risks associated with Sales to ensure integrity of the organisation and create value, avoid financial loss, and ensure compliance with the applicable policies and regulations.
  • Review the execution on internal audits of risk relating with assigned brands, and then address the gaps and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Examine all business plans in accordance with the Sales guidelines policies, SOP’s, and guidelines.
  • Review and resolve audit findings, where appropriate and in accordance with recommendations.
  • Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality of service is achieved. goals in sales.
  • Maintain and create cross functional communications with other Divisions.
  • Advance Company’s interests in all negotiations with outside Stakeholders to maximize the revenue generated.
  • Create and implement engaging and innovative client solutions on the platforms you have chosen.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree (NQF 6and 7) Marketing Management, Sales Communication, Management or a similar qualification.
  • Computer literate (All Microsoft Packages)
  • A solid knowledge of web metrics, digital analytics, and the ability to create analysis and interpret data.
  • You must be able to be able to work under pressure of deadlines in order to manage a variety of projects on multiple platforms.
