To ensure the correct, precise and timely payments of salaries and other payroll related third party payment and to supervise the payroll administration employees.

Key Responsibilities:

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for ensuring all employee benefit inputs are submitted and recorded accurately and on time in the payroll system (SAP HR). Duties include auditing payroll data, verifying and unlocking salary, overtime, and banking transactions, and managing monthly uploads of third-party deduction schedules and EFT/vendor files via Fihrst Connect. The role involves generating payroll variance reports, authorizing changes to executive salaries and excess overtime, and liaising with Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

The administrator must handle payroll queries efficiently, maintain control procedures, and supervise payroll staff activities. Additional responsibilities include managing personnel records, supporting the HRIS Manager in developing HR practices, monitoring policy compliance, implementing staff benefits, and organizing annual bonuses and long service awards. The role also involves training Regional HR Managers in SAP HR/PY, processing contract renewals and terminations, issuing notices, and ensuring compliance with UIF, SARS, pension funds, and company policies. Coordination with banks, service providers, and internal departments is essential for managing payroll-related transactions and reporting.

Job Requirements: Essential Qualifications And Experience

  • National Diploma in Payroll (NQF5)or Payroll/HR/Accounting (NQF6).
  • Five years of work experience with HR Administration Payroll, of one of which must be in SAP. Payroll Accounting and Database Management and one year of supervision of payroll personnel.
  • Valid driving license
