Nail Technician Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a seasoned Nail Technician for their Waterfall Mall store. You’ll be accountable for developing your personal client base as well as creating awareness of the many nail treatments Dis-Chem offers.

• Report on customer compliments and complaints
• Conduct monthly promotions
• Ensure monthly treatment and product targets are met
• Attend training to keep abreast of new products and treatment techniques
• Ensure new customers complete customer cards
• Complete and submit accurate monthly reports
• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s treatment and service payment procedures
• Manage stock levels according to Dis-Chem procedures – report on short, damaged and expired stock
• Ensure effective and accurate merchandising or promotions
• Provide customers with a high standard of nail care and nail painting techniques

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
• Nail Technician Certificate (gel and acrylic)
• At least two years of practical experience in a nail salon or beauty salon.
• Can be willing and capable of working during in retail during the daytime hours

Competencies

Essential:

• Have a general understanding about nail technologies (correct methods of application) and the contra-indications of nail treatments nail treatments.
• A strong ability to master the English language
• Make sure you are a team player and maintain good customer relations
• Honest and trustworthy
• Set a deadline and be driven by a target Daily plan and administer treatment and achieve monthly treatment goals
