Introduction
The Technical Planner you’ll ensure that all maintenance activities are in line to legal, operational and strategic needs. The most important aspect of your job is managing the inventory and storage system, ensuring that parts are available when needed and keeping accurate records of stock and improving efficiency across storage and procurement tasks.
Detailed Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning
- Make maintenance plans that align with production plans.
- Maintenance of coordinate lines and/or systems deferred defects, base maintenance, and warranties on parts.
- Work programs and the related technical documents
- Examine upcoming maintenance to ensure compliance standards
- Support planning and support during plant shutdowns, while ensuring spare parts are available
Stores & Stock Management
- Control the entire lifecycle of technological inventory–from receiving storage, storing, issuing to the process of reordering
- Keep accurate inventory record and daily inventory report on movement
- Set minimum Reorder levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking
- Implement and adhere to the principles of 6S (Sort, Shine, Set in order Standardize, Sustain Safety) in the area of stores.
- In collaboration together with procurement to collect and review vendor quotations
- Assist in the safe, efficient management and storage for parts or equipment
- Sort out and dispose of old or expired stock, in accordance with the rules
Process Flow Management
- Demand for Stock: Production or Maintenance team sends a request
- Make Inventory Check: Find out the stock available in the NAV system
- Issue Stock Authorization to sign off, distribution and entry in inventory logs
- Reorder point: Manual or automated triggers whenever the threshold for reorders is reached.
- Procurement The quotes of the vendor are received and subsequently accepted
- Goods Receipt The stock is received, confirmed, and then stored
- Cycle Counts and Audits Periodic physical inspections to verify accuracy
- reporting: Weekly, daily and monthly reports sent to the Technical Manager
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 (with Maths & Science)
- A Bachelor’s degree from a university in Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably someone with N6 or national diploma and trade tested(Electrical/Mechanical or Millwright)
- Knowledge of the CMMS systems(SAP, Pragma and etc)
- Practical experience in the field of the stores and technical designing
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics NAV & MP Vision 9.8 Enterprise
- Experience with Inventory management software that is ERP-based
