Job Description
This is an exciting job for someone who is possession of a relevant degree and has at least the ability to perform payroll for 2 to 3 years with experience. As the successful incumbent you will be responsible for offering exceptional customer service to EBD (EBD) and handling payroll as well as offering HR administration assistance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key part in HR and payroll tasks, and will be assigned the following duties and duties:
- Maintaining the Oracle HR and payroll system;
- Everyday payroll inputs to ensure that employees get paid on time;
- Maintaining accurate records and filing of:
- New engagements, terminations, promotions and transfers, caretaking and other allowances
- Leave balance audits
- Daily queries
- Any input affecting salaries
- Checking of payroll and dispatch
- Month end reconciliations and payments
- Liaise between HR, divisional offices, Retirement Fund Administrators and Healthcare Administrator on all and any salary related matters
- Employment confirmations as and when required
- General office duties, which include, but is not limited to filing, answering telephones, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
- It is essential to have 2 to 3 years of working experience in a payroll or benefits environment, with knowledge of the job;
- Relevant qualification essential;
- Experience or expertise in UK Payroll would be beneficial;
- Need to be skilled in figures;
- A good understanding about PAYE, UIF, SDL and other statutory information;
- A benefit is to understand Sectorial Determination 9.
