Introduction
The School of Education seeks to hire a dedicated person who will oversee and instruct various postgraduate courses at postgraduate levels within the area of Teacher Development Studies. The person hired could also be required to teach fundamental modules in the Education Study Cluster on an undergraduate basis. The incumbent is also expected to be involved in research and provide supervision for students at postgraduate level.
Job description
- This job will require an academic to pursue further studies and research that will help in the advancement and development of the Discipline.
- Successful candidates will also participate in curriculum development and examine undergraduate teaching practice.

Minimum requirements
- An Doctoral doctorate with a focus on Teacher Development Studies.
- An accredited qualification for teaching to students in South African schools/higher education institutions.
- The evidence of leadership in academics (e.g. Co-ordination of module, supervision coordination or a discipline leader)
- The evidence of grantpersonship that has been successful.
- Experience in teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate levels
- A steady stream of research-related publications.
- The evidence of supervision post gradually.
