Purpose Of The Position
- To offer teaching and learning services, as well as research functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Teaching classes in accordance to NWU teaching and learning methods.

Community Engagement
- Actively participate in community engagement initiatives as part of the School of Accounting Sciences.
Key Functional/ Technical Competencies:
- The essential technical abilities needed in the field of accounting.
- Experience in dealing with students, managing large classes, and setting assessment.
- Understanding of the research process and the desire for research.
- Intention to participate to participate in community services.
- Expert knowledge about The Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Experience with accounting-related software applications.
- Demonstrate that they’re able to function effectively within the multilingual world inside the NWU.
Key Behavioural Competencies:
- Ethics and professionalism.
- Adaptability / Agility.
NWU Vacancies Requirements
- MCom qualification (NQF Level 9) in Accounting as well as an MBA.
- At least 3 (3) years of experience teaching accounting.
- A minimum in the range of three (3) years of working experience in the field of an accountant is required.
- Accreditation through SAIPA/ACCA, and SAICA for the AGA(SA).
