Description

The OPFA provides a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college students who have the N6 Financial Management certificate and require practical knowledge before they are able to complete their studies. Candidates who have other qualifications that are connected to Financial Management Financial Management discipline are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

The individual will be exposed to the following areas:

  • Asset Management.
  • Help with clerical tasks for the Finance Management Team.
  • Participate in every Finance departmental meetings, and assist with clerical tasks.
  • Scanning and filing payment batches.
  • Monthly petty cash count.
  • Processing and capturing invoices of creditors.
  • Monthly journal processing.
  • Reconciliations on bank statements and other monthly processing.
  • The Monthly Trial Balance.
  • Monthly journals of depreciation.
  • Monthly Prepayment Schedule monthly and journals.
  • Reconciliation of Finance Reports.
  • The compilation of management accounts.
  • The compilation of Treasury reports.
  • Assist in audits.
  • Make sure you keep all correspondence that relates to your work, including telephone calls as well as emails and letters.
  • Assist the members of the project team as well as the management team with the preparation and review of documents.
  • Be prepared to handle any additional demands from the line manager in charge of reporting.
  • Make sure that the records are accurate and secure. all finance documents.
  • Within the workplace-based learning Logbook which is offered by TVET College. TVET College the learningoutcomes, assignments and other pertinent reports according to the College.

Requirements

  • Have obtained an N6 certificate from an TVET College.
  • Age Between 18 and 35.
  • Unemployed South African citizen.
  • Affida a confirmation letter from their institution attesting to the completion of their theoretical studies and requirements for practical training.
  • A Logbook for Workplace-Based Learning provided through TVET College to help students keep track of their daily tasks. TVET College to document their everyday tasks and duties
