The successful candidate will be responsible for
- The collection of accurate samples is in accordance with the sample schedules for specific material selections.
- Analyzing samples and results published in the format prescribed to
- Allow clients within the company to initiate corrective steps to ensure quality requirements meet.
- Operating Laboratory equipment/instruments and doing first line maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assuring that employees are in compliance with company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Maintaining the safety, Health, Environmental & Quality standards
- Conducting routine physical and routine testing analyses in the lab
- Adhering to and understanding Good Laboratory Practises
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Mathematics and/or Physical Science would be an added advantage.
- A chemistry qualification would be an advantage.
- Two years’ laboratory experience in cement or equivalent industry would be an advantage.
- Experience with XRF and XRD equipment would be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment.
- Must be declared medically fit after medical examination
