TB HIV Care Vacancies Overview
This job is located in Mthatha within the OR Tambo district. You will work closely with clients in the HIV Priority Population Prevention Program. It is more than counselling – it includes assessment, mental health support, referrals and training sessions on HIV.

TB HIV Care Vacancies Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- A postgraduate qualification is a bonus
- 3 years of experience in HIV and social work
- Registered with the SA Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP)
- Fluent in English and isiXhosa
- MS Office skills
- Code 8 driver’s licence
- Experience with training or facilitating
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll receive referrals, screen clients and provide support where needed. When mental health risks are identified, you’ll act quickly to help or make a referral. You will also run counselling and support groups and build partnerships with others in the health and social care sector.
Every month, you will report on your cases and progress. You will also handle training and development sessions and provide support to the team.
