Job Description
- Assume responsibility for the performance of the Plate Plant System in terms of process and product.
- Drive overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to align with business “sweating assets” strategy
- Optimising product performance versus machine capability
- Lead process rules and engineering projects
- Leading Control Plans & Failure-Mode-Effect-Analysis
- Drive overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), in line with the business strategy
- Analysis, monitoring and trending of all Quality attributes for improved recovery performance
- Train and mentor personnel in the disciplines of process control and related disciplines
- Establishing strong relationships with leaders in related disciplines such as process development, continuous improvement and quality assurance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial / metallurgical).
- Good knowledge and experience in the metallurgical processes involved with plating products.
- Understand the principles of manufacturing and manufacturing economics
- Knowledge and experience in the maintenance and operation of equipment
- Project Management and Engineering Skills
- Ability to initiate, research and manage own projects.
- Proven Experience in Driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness
- Good problem solving skills
- Product development and rolling models knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to manage recovery
- Management of the Quality Information System
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Teamwork and leadership skills are important for success
