What You’ll Do as a Handyman
You’ll take care of technical maintenance work across the park. This includes:
- Plumbing, electrical, welding, and carpentry tasks
- Repairing air conditioners and fridges
- Maintenance of staff houses, public toilets, tourism buildings, and more
- Keeping records, inspecting vehicles, and helping with stock ordering
- Basic admin, like timesheets and tool tracking
You’ll also assist contractors and carry out inspections.
What You Need to Apply
To qualify, make sure you meet these:
- Matric (Grade 12) or NCV Level 4
- A trade certificate (plumbing, aircon, electrical, etc.) is a big plus
- Valid driver’s license (PDP is a bonus)
- At least 3 years in a similar maintenance role
- Good English skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Working knowledge of building, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Can work weekends and holidays when needed
Salary Range & Benefits
Your annual salary will be between R160,207.31 and R213,350.87, depending on experience. The job falls under Paterson Grade B2. Staff housing inside the park is offered, and a lease agreement will be required.
