Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking an energetic, driven and a customer-focused Cod 10- Driver Salespersonwithin our baking division.
The right candidate will carry out tasks or activities that are associated with the sale and transportation of confectionary and bread. calling customers (traders and retailers of chain stores) making orders, and then delivering the goods mainly from the vehicle frequently for cash and customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 current Driver’s License and Valid PDP.
- Ability to write, read comprehend and communicate in English.
- Good numeracy
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience FMCG. Experience in selling and delivering FMCG products for cash to both new and existing customers.
- To keep an active Driver’s License and to keep a current Driver’s License the PDP
- Expected to work the weekend and on public holidays.
- Expected to work extra hours when needed
- Expected to be standing by to help in the event of driver absence.
Key Responsibilities
- If sales are greater than actual amount on the truck the truck, arrangements must be made over the phone to replenish stock, or by way of another vehicle or making a return to the bakery
- If additional stock is not be available, please inform customers who have been delayed in delivery.
- (e.g.) Every customer who receives their order, but if it isn’t feasible, at the very least a portion of their purchase
- Place orders for delivery the next day and forward the order on time in time to sales
- Make sure that all crates were delivered, collected by the Sunshine Bakery premises on the same day.
- Drivers are required to deliver other items or products for customers
- Collect products that are finished from other bakeries/drivers before delivering to the client when there is a need.
- Transporting material, personnel and equipment to or from specific places
- Do crate recovery to reduce and monitor crate losses.
