Main Purpose of the Role
Employee will provide daily IT support at the DSV Park Gauteng facility as well as entire Gauteng Region. Employee will be required to travel to different locations at times dependant on projects and outages that might need onsite support. Employee will be required to assist with projects as and when assigned to the local ITOS team.
Qualification
- Matric and A+, N+ – essential
- MCTS: Window Server Network Infrastructure – advantageous
- Window Server 2008 Active Directory – advantageous
- MCITP – advantageous
- CCNA – advantageous
- IT related degree /Diploma – advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities
- Offer support for IT on a regular basis for all users on a daily basis.
- Offer support for Global Desktop, Thin Clients PC’s, Laptops
- Offer basic support for Cisco Network equipment
- Support Global IT with onsite assistance
- Help with Printers
- Setup Windows DSV Images via SCCM DP on laptops and PC’s
- Assist with all tickets recorded to Eastern Cape region. Eastern Cape region
- Assistance with IT projects within the regions.
- Contact with vendors and business partners in order to resolve their IT concerns, concerns and requests.
- Own, and oversee until the end of time minor and major modifications to the local infrastructure
- Control and resolve issues remotely, to aid the team in regional work.
- Be aware of the expectations that were established with business customers and understand instances when events or issues may require an escalation in the management chain.
