Job Description

  • Receiving and processing new complaints from clients, determining their nature and registering them in the Complaints Management System.
  • Identify the complainant, and their relationship to the invoice for the funeral/tombstone/insurance policy
  • Print relevant documentation using the image viewer to help with complaint evaluation. I.e. application form /funeral/tombstone invoice
  • All Fraud complaints require the XDS report.
  • Open a complaint in the CMS system.
  • You can cancel the policy/payment method (depending upon the instructions of the client).
  • Confirm receipt of all complaints and cancelations as needed.
  • Update CMS with summary notes about the complaint, actions taken and letters posted.
  • Open the case file with the complaint number, and details of complainant.
  • All correspondence and complaints should be filed in the CMS file
  • Assign files to senior clerks or department heads.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties and assist senior personnel in tasks and queries.
  • Handle enquiries (internal clients and external customers) and refer to senior clerks where necessary

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Knowledge of TCF/FSCA as well as other legislative requirements.
  • Experience in insurance and administration of at least 2-3 years.
  • Communication skills – both verbal and written – are excellent.
  • Computer-literate (Excel, Word and E mail).
  • Focus on customer service.
  • Ability to function and fit in with a team.
  • Ability to show initiative on your own.
  • Ability to remain effective under pressure.
  • Planning and time management are essential skills.
  • Attention to detail is a key skill.
  • You must be able evaluate each case or situation on its merit.
  • Self-motivated.
