Job Description
The Forklift Driver in the Distribution Centre is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation as well as the loading and unloading of items. This involves operating forklifts to move inventory, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, as well as managing the organization of warehouses.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Utilize a forklift in order to lift or load and unload stocks within the warehouse and distribution center
- Place items on stacks and in the appropriate storage areas and ensure that you have a good inventory control
- Conduct inspections prior to shifts of the forklift in order to ensure it is in operating condition. Report any issues
- Assist with inventory control, which includes packing and picking orders with accuracy
- Make sure your workplace is safe by observing all safety and health regulations
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operation and prompt delivery of items
- Material and pallets can be transported in both loading and warehouses in a timely manner
