Job Description
RCL Foods is recruiting for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and a devoted Code10 Driver Salesman in the bakery business unit.The ideal candidate is expected to carry out tasks and activities related with the sales and transportation of confectionery and bread. calling customers (traders and retailers and chain stores and traders) making orders, and delivering them primarily from vehicles often for cash or new customers. The position will be based in Empangeni and report on behalf of the Director of Distribution.
This is a permanent position.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 current Driver’s License and v a L i d PDP.
- Ability to write, read and understand English.
- Good numeracy
- Min 2 years of driving experience in FMCG. Experience in selling and delivering FMCG product in cash to new and existing customers.
- To ensure that you have the validity of a Driver’s Licence, and maintain a valid driver’s licence D PDP
- Expected to work the weekend and on public holidays.
- Expected to work extra hours when needed
- Expected to stand by to help in the event of driver absence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean car to ensure that you maintain high hygiene always.
- Make sure you wear and use the required PPE equipment and clothing.
- Clean the area around the vehicle and safe as per the standards for a workstation according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Verifies his vehicle in accordance with the checklist provided by the company.
- Input any errors on the checklist.
- Complete the checklist as an acknowledgement of the condition of the vehicle.
- The serious nature of the faults should be immediately reported to the supervisor, and the vehicle immediately taken to the workshop
- Find a replacement vehicle in case repairs will take longer time to fix
- Conformity to the rules of the road. on the road thus protecting himself along with his passengers as well as other road users in vehicles.
- immediately report any theft of your vehicle or fuel, or any equipment the vehicle’s damage to Logistics Manager
- Report any damages to vehicles or property to the Logistics Manager
